Aaron’s Video Draft Predictions
Pre-publish Edit: The fluidity of the draft is evident in the Texans screwing everyones predictiosn up by signing Mario Williams.
At the time of the recording, this change had not happened. Therefore, my official picks are shuffled a bit. Texans take Mario Williams. Saints take Reggie Bush. Jets take D’Brickshaw Ferguson.

- Houston Texans – The obvious pick of the day, Reggie Bush, USC, RB. 200 carries, 8.7 YPC
- New Orleans Saints – D’Brickashaw Ferguson, Virginia, LT. Will provide Drew Brees with an excellent mobile hole-plugger on the left side.
- Tennessee Titans – Matt Leinart reunites with Offensive coordinator Norm Chow with same style of offense.
- New York Jets – Mario Williams, DE, NC State. Can play multiple defenses and fills a need where John Abraham once was.
- Green Bay Packers – A.J. Hawk, LB, OSU. Quick, fast, Magnet to the ball. Possibly the next Ray Lewis?
- San Francisco 49ers – Haloti Ngata, DT, Oregon. Big and fast and able to plug the whole 3-4 defense. NFL sack leader Derrick Burgess is on the DE and will benefit big time.
- Oakland Raiders – Vince Young, QB, Texas. Can make quick reads and scramble if necessary. Question his “pop” throw but has tremendous touch. Because no one really expects Aaron Brooks to start in Oakland.
- Buffalo Bills – Winston Justice, OT, USC. If Kelly Holcomb is going to enjoy longterm success in Buffalo, the Bills HAVE to secure their O-line. Winston Justice is the best of the breed at the Tackle position.
- Detroit Lions – Jimmy Williams, CB, Virginia Tech – Matt Millen is going to have some big time answers to come up with to Lion fans if he doesn’t fill the gap at Cornerback. Jimmy Williams will havesome veteran backing in the secondary that is good but not stellar.
- Arizona Cardinals – Brodrick Bunkley, DT, FSU. Since Haloti Ngata is taken at this point, the best talent is Brodrick at Arizona needs help all over but most notably at the DT position. I think any team draftin Brodrick is asking for problems. He has spent a lot of time hurt and was fined and had to perform community service for stealing a video game from Wal Mart in 2003. That sort of thing is not tolerated at the professional level and the NFL already has enough public relations nightmares as it is.
