Adrian Peterson - the sky is the limit
NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
The return of the Squibster. Now the good and the bad. The good is that my most excellent boss and coworkers filled in quite nicely and that is most appreciated.
The bad is the Squibster is diagnosed with Cancer and undergoing chemotherapy. Fear not, they say the cancer is one that is curable, so let us move forward with our dreams of football!
My Lions just got demolished 42 - 10 by the Minnesota Vikings.
In fact the game was over by the first couple of minutes into the 3rd quarter. Although, some would say the game was over before it began.
Peterson returned after missing two weeks with a torn lateral collateral ligament in his right knee and was inserted into the starting lineup. Wearing a brace, the star rookie looked to be just a step slower than his usual blazing self — but that was still two steps faster than the Lions’ defense.
He ripped off a 28-yard run on the first possession to set up a touchdown run by Chester Taylor, then added a 16-yard scoring run of his own to help the Vikings jump out to a 14-3 lead. source
Now any self respecting Lions fans would have… Wait, there are no self respecting Lions fans or they long ago would have committed suicide and got it over with.
Anyway, most Lions fans would have just turned off the TV. Hi-Def or not.
But how can you when Adrian Peterson is ready to juke you right out of your man chair?
Peterson came back in this game with something to prove. He was over his injury and had one of his worst days against the Lions earlier in the season.
He made a couple of cut back moves that even Barry Sanders could not have made. They were like through 4 guys. How do 4 guys not lay a hand on a running back?
Then like he was just warming up, Adrian blew threw a hole and faced Kenoy Kennedy. Now Kennedy is one of the hardest surest tacklers on the team. Adrian came at him with arms a flailing and legs moving left and right and fake left and go right and, oh no, that was a fake right and go left.
Kenoy was left to pick himself off the ground after not laying a hand on Adrian Peterson.
Adrian high stepped into the end zone untouched.
Wow, this guy is fun to watch. He has the Vikings surging in the standings.
For Adrian Peterson there does not seem to be any limits.
