Asante Samuel - Show me the money
NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
Asante Samuel does the happy dance, and why not, he has 100 million reasons

After the 80 million dollar deal for Nate Clements last year, the sky is the limit for the New England Patriots Asante Samuel.
Word has it, if you look a little deeper, there was some contract problems with Nate and it is now considered a 7 year 64 million dollar contract. Whatever.
What is does mean is that Asante Samuel will benefit from the raised bar. Good corners are hard to find.
Samuels has the words “Get Rich to This” tattooed on his left shoulder and get rich he will.
In fact, the Patriots cannot franchise him either, because they did that last year, so Asante is an unrestricted free agent just like you and me, only he is a great cornerback and teams want to give him a whole lot of money.
We could be talking a 100 million dollar deal!
Believe me; a number of other corners are watching this deal go down with great interest.
That fact was of keen interest to a number of players in action Sunday. The Denver Broncos’ Champ Bailey, once the highest paid cornerback in the league, wants to see what Samuel is offered and accepts. Cornerback Marcus Trufant, who is likely to be franchised by the Seattle Seahawks this month, is interested. Finally, budding star Antonio Cromartie of San Diego, who has the size, speed and skill to be the best of all of them, could be talking to the Chargers about an extension in the next couple of years. source
Yes, show me the money!
You have to wonder how this will affect the salaries for all positions in the NFL.
