Belichick named Coach/Spy of the year!
NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
Coach Belichick just keeps on winning games and awards
Wow! A dual award. Coach and Spy of the Year!
The man is just amazing. Coach Belichick wins Coach of the Year. He also won the award in 2003.
The Patriots were on an amazing run this year going undefeated and all. They also racked up the points and personal records.
Tom Brady had a great year passing for more touchdowns than anyone in any season, including the exalted Peyton Manning.
Randy Moss caught more touchdown passes in one season than anyone in NFL history, including the exalted Jerry Rice.
It isn’t just that, the Patriots have been the top franchise for several years in a league of parity created by a very restrictive salary cap. Belichick has a hand in all personnel decisions.
All the stars lined up and Coach Belichick wins!
With the Patriots motivated by a spying scandal — and owning the deepest talent base in football — Belichick guided his team to the first 16-0 regular season in league history.
That was enough to offset the major blemish on Belichick’s resume: a $500,000 personal fine, $250,000 fine for the team and the loss of a first-round pick in the upcoming draft after the Patriots were caught videotaping New York Jets coaches during the season opener. source
Oh, and the spying thing? It is just fun to tease about. Hard to believe that the Patriots were the only team involved in that, right Jet’s fans?
And why did they need to spy on the Lions? Just to test the cameras?
