Brady Quinn - Let the games begin
NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
Brady and his 10,000 friends think he should go number 1 in the draft
Are the Lions interested in Brady Quinn? Just what is going on here?
Just who is going to draft who?
The picture is not always clear. This time of year finds a lot of player movement in free agency and trades.
It is also the prelude to the draft, where other teams try to act nonchalant about the player they want, so no one else will take them.
Did you know that Denver did not even talk to Cutler before the draft? They did not want anyone to know how bad they wanted him.
Come draft day, Denver got their man, Jay Cutler.
The Detroit Lions may be playing games with Brady Quinn. It was reported in the Detroit News
Lions: Irish QB Quinn will be interviewed
Former Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn is on the list of players the Lions plan to interview before April’s NFL draft.
The Lions sent seven people to watch Quinn throw March 4 — four coaches, two scouts and assistant general manager Martin Mayhew . source
Now the real question is why?
Some experts like to downgrade Brady
When a stat-line of 289 for 467 (61.9%) for 3,426 yards and 37 touchdowns to just seven interceptions doesn’t live up to expectations, you know that much is required of the player in question. For Brady Quinn, that’s what comes with the territory of being a four-year starting quarterback at Notre Dame. source
The Lions, according to all the experts that have mock drafts, are picking Joe Thomas.
Hmm.
Wouldn’t it be smarter when you have so many needs to trade down and get more players? A tackle has to have a lot of talent to go number 2, especially with all the money you would have to pay him.
Now to trade down, you have to have someone trade up. To do that you have to act interested in something they want.
Look down the draft list:
Browns - need a quarterback
Bucs - just signed Garcia, have Simms, need a young quarterback
Cardinals - Leinart
Redskins - need a quarterback
Vikings - need a quarterback
Texans - need a quarterback
Dolphins - oh that is right, they have Cleo Lemon, code for need a quarterback
Falcons - let’s see Michael Vick, uhh, need a quarterback
49ers - Alex Smith
Bills - need a quarterback
The funny part is that the Detroit Lions, with 35 year old Jon Kitna, need a quarterback. So they may not be joking. The Lions may actually draft Brady Quinn.
NFL Football Fan Question So are Matt Millen and the Lions faking or for real?
As always, any NFL Football related comments are welcome.

With Dumb (Ford) and Dumber (McMullet) running the Lions I doubt if they are smart enough to draft Brady Quinn.
