Brett Favre is coming to a town near you! It may be for the last time. Yes, this could be the Brett Favre Farewell Tour. Today he comes in to Detroit. This may be his last game in Detroit. You do not want to miss it!
This is Brett Favre and he is an NFL Living Legend.
Favre is a Packer, a Green Bay Packer through and through. Even though… the Packers are not a very good team, he wants to remain a Packer. Hopefully, his organization does the right thing and keeps him a Packer. Still, it is a business and you never know.
The man has 3 MVP trophies. Three of them. Nobody but Brett has 3 of them. He won a Super Bowl and has been to 8 Pro Bowls. Those things alone should make you want to watch Brett Favre, but those are not the most important things to your intrepid author.
Why Is He Smiling
The reason you want to watch Brett Favre becomes apparent when you watch him play. He throws the ball with wild abandon. It is as if he is out playing ball in your neighbors open field, just winging the ball all over the place. The image is of a tough guy, never complaining, and a true gun slinger. Many times in my life, while watching Brett pick apart the Detroit Lions defense, you would get a close up of Brett after a play. There would be Brett with this big smile, maybe laughing. He was having fun playing a game called Football. Where is John Facenda’s voice when you need it?
So there you have it, if you are really into NFL Football and all its History, then you need to pay attention to what will probably be Brett’s last season. Of course, you never know, Brett has not missed a ball game in over a decade, a record for NFL quarterbacks.
