Brilliance- Ravens don’t tag Lewis
(thanks fore the heads-up, Aaron)
In perhaps their first good move in the last, oh, two years, the Ravens decided that they’re going to release Jamal Lewis into the wild. After all, why pay 8 million a year to a running back coming off a crapy year after being in prison?

Also, Vikings keep hold on CB Williams with transition tag

I personally think that They should have franchised him and give him one more year to pan out or not. This guy was the leading rusher two years ago…

yeah, he was, but instead of gambling eight million (roughly, I don’t know exactly what the franchise tag would have cost) on a guy you really don’t know about, who would also keep Chester Taylor from developing, you can go out and get a couple solid veterans who bring some more leadership to the team, or you can bring in a guy to challenge Kyle Boller. I’ll say right now Lewis gets less than 3.5 yards/carry next year, because he’s going to end up with a team like Arizona where they have no idea what an offensive line is. Taylor, on the other hand, gets a team that will probably be anywhere between 6-10 and 10-6, and he should have some room to run
