Coach Marinelli to Mike Williams - get a bad grade and get cut
NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
Lions looking for Mike McMahon
This will be a quick post today, because you have to tend to that turkey. No, not the Lions, the turkey, the bird in the oven.
Speaking of birds in the oven, Joey Harrington returns to play the Turkey’s this week. Uhhm, the Lions, he returns to play the Lions. Geez, you got me saying it now.
The rumor mill has Coach Marinelli grading the players and if they don’t get good grades they get cut! Maybe that is why Mike Williams is finally supposed to play, so the Lions can flunk him. Here is hoping he catches a touchdown pass. Think that would get him an ‘A’.
What if Roy Williams … got a bad grade? Kevin Jones may not even play. Must have not done his homework or the dog ate it.
How scary can the Lions be with a running back named Arlen? Seem to remember beating him up for his lunch money.
Bad Bet on Joey Harrington
Ok, my boss, Neil, bet me at the beginning of the year that 4 ex-Lion Quarterbacks would play this year for other teams and a Lions quarterback would play wide receiver. Ha Ha Ha, come on, sucker bet, your intrepid author would take none of that action. Anyone knows that would happen.
What??? Jeff Garcia, Philadelphia. Charlie Batch, Pittsburgh. Joey Harrington, Miami. (Don’t forget Rodney Pete with the Best Dam Sports Show. Wait, that isn’t a football team. Probably could beat the Lions, though). Now the fourth will be when Mike McMahon plays for Minnesota this year. You will know it, because the Earth will stop rotating for just a little while.
Josh shakes hands with J.J.
Meanwhile, last week in Turkeyville, err Detroit, Josh McCown played wide receiver for the Turkeys! Err, Lions.
So back to the game. Will the boo birds come out for Detroit or have they already flown south to join Joey Harrington?
The Lions will be without all Shaun’s (the no Shaun rule), all Rogers, and possibly no Kevin Jones or Eddie Drummond. The only guarantee is that it will be a wacky day in Ford Field.
Don’t forget to vote in the new poll at the sidebar.
Give Thanks to the NFL
While voting, don’t forget to give thanks for all that we have in this great country and for all our wonderful friends and family. So eat some turkey and mash potatoes, have a few pops, be safe, and watch a lot of football.
NFL Football Fan Question Should Marinelli be grading players or starting rookies to lose and sow up the 1st pick in the draft?
As always, any NFL Football related comments are welcome.

I can’t believe Harrington is going to look good in Detroit… but the Dolphins should smash the Lions. See James, I was only with you for two weeks… and now the Lions are earmarked for the bottom. But I actually think if they played the Rams again, they would win that one.
(For all my picks, please see: “The Office Pool”.)
Have a great day of thanks… and enjoy the games.

Was actually able to catch much of the Lions this week. Not sure even where to start, maybe in the front office (see Tigers). This is not a team that needs a few tweaks, but an organization in need of overhaul. At least I was able to catch a few winks with the little one…

Always good to catch some Z’s with the kid.
The thing that bothers me the most about the Lions is the obvious lack of talent. Even in their worst losing days of the past, it was not as apparent as it is now.
