Colts vs. Jaguars - the big game?
NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
The return of the Squibster. Now the good and the bad. The good is that my most excellent boss and coworkers filled in quite nicely and that is most appreciated.
The bad is the Squibster is diagnosed with Cancer and undergoing chemotherapy. Fear not, they say the cancer is one that is curable, so let us move forward with our dreams of football!
The Indianapolis Colts are 9 - 2. They lost the one home game to the Patriots that most of us watched and then the following week dropped a close game to the Chargers on the road.
9 - 2 and truly the class of the AFC South Division.
Or are they?
What are you talking about? There is no other team in their division worth talking about. You know, the Jags, the Titans, and the Texans, come on, all wanna be’s.
Wanna be’s?
You know, Jags with no QB, Titans with no offense, and the Texans just plain No. Wanna be’s. Maybe next year’s news.
Did you know the Jags are 8 - 3?
Really?
Yeah, they lost the opener to Tennessee by a field goal, got stomped by the Colts at home, and lost a road game to the Saints. They even have a better record than the Colts over the last 5 games.
But, come on, the Jags have no QB. Everyone knows that. The Colts have Peyton Manning. No contest there.
No doubt Peyton is great, but David Garrard has been getting the job done. He has a 103 qb rating. Not too shabby. Peyton’s is only 89. Garrard has completed 65% of his passes to Peyton’s 63. This is not an argument to say David is better than Peyton, because he is not. It is just to say, David Garrard is getting the job done.
No way.
Yep, and there is talk of David being All Pro.
Garrard is being talked about as a Pro Bowl candidate, but he’s keeping his focus on the final five games.
“I think it’s pretty cool. It really is,” he said of the Pro Bowl talk. “But if you start losing games, and they start adding up, and then you miss the playoffs [the Pro Bowl talk ends]. I can’t dwell on that stuff. I just enjoy the moment. I’m just trying to make plays.” source
Hey, the Jaguars are for real! Who you taking?
Uhh, the Colts, especially being at home.
NFL Football Fan Question Are the Jags for real or just pretenders?
