Countdown to the Draft: The New England Patriots, (10-6)
The big question going into the offseason is where the Patriots are.
Are they rebuilding, or are they crumbling, or are they always getting better? I tend to subscribe to the second option.
They’ve lost Willie McGinest, Ty Law, David Patten, and Adam Vinatieri, and replaced them with horrible players like Randal Gay. They have a long list of needs going into the draft, that, quite frankly, they aren’t going to be able to fill. They have, without a doubt, lost their status as the team to beat, and are now just another team getting worn away by the cap.
They are losing their best players, and they are having a harder and harder time trying to replace them.
Right now their biggest needs are going to be a kicker, a reciever, a few defensive backs, some offensive linemen, a running back, a linebacker, and a safety.
That’s if they want to compete for the AFC East title next year, which, quite honestly, I don’t think they will.
Get the idea?
