Curtis Martin may not return, Jets rebuilding

So let’s say you are a Jets fan. You are wondering if Curtis Martin is done. He is due to return and the Coach seems excited about it, but the injury is severe and the latest news is not good. Martin, most likely will never return to football.

Your mind begins to go over all the good and bad things surrounding the New York Jets.

Good. Well, we… won a Super Bowl and Joe Willie Namath predicted it and pulled it off!
Bad. We lost the Heidi bowl (story for another blog)
Good. We earned a high draft pick from last year’s 4 - 12 record.
Bad. We took an offensive tackle, D’Brickashaw Fergusen
Good. Curtis Martin is one of the all time backs.
Bad. He may have to take an injury retirement.
Good. Buffalo and under performing Miami are in the Division
Bad. So is New England.
Good. The team colors are Green and White.
Bad. Happens to be a bad year for those colors, just ask Michigan State University.

Aahhh, rebuilding sucks.

Your quarterback is Chad Pennington, not Tom Brady, not Peyton Manning. If this needs explaining, you are a die hard fan to the nth degree.

The running game has ranked amongst the bottom of the league all year. Of course, know one told my Detroit Lions that. The Jets ran so good against the Lions that Fantasy Footballers were picking up New York’s number 2 back, Leon Washington.

NFL Football Fan Question Why do some teams have to go through grinding rebuilding years? Are the Jets improving? Will Curtis Martin go to the Hall of Fame?
