Jets may lose Martin
Thought a Curtis Martin update was due. He has stopped short of saying he is retiring as he went on the PUP list. So he is officially out for the season. Now here is the kicker. His age is 33 and for anyone out there that has played athletics at the age of 33, you know that your body is on the decline. It gets hurt easier and bruises easier and heals slower.
Next year he will be 34, just one step further, and if he wants to play, he will have to have more operations, which means more rehab and that is boring and hard work and no certain payoff. The tough part of the choice to have further operations is that they are only necessary if Curtis Martin wants to keep playing.
Your intrepid author thinks we have seen the end of a great career.
