Detroit Lions - RB Brian Calhoun
The Detroit News talks about running back Brian Calhoun. He is the rookie 3rd pick in the draft from the Wisconsin Badgers.
At 5′ 10″ and 194 pounds, he is small, but this writer is here to tell you, he is as tough as nails. He can run. He can catch. He even does a little kick returning. In other words, he does it all. And that is exactly what he did for Wisconsin last year.
Calhoun Super Stat Brian ran on the 2005 Big Ten Conference Champion 4 X 100 relay team.
One of the best games last year was Wisconsin vs. Minnesota. It was Brian Calhoun vs. Laurence Maroney. Maroney won the battle with 258 yards to 110 for Calhoun, but Brian won the war 38 to 34 with some tough runs late in the game.
It was two teams almost refusing to pass. Minnesota passed for 99 yards and Wisconsin passed for 235 with 29 of those going to Brian Calhoun.
Earlier in the year, Brian was almost unstoppable against Michigan with 155 yards in an enormous victory for the Badger program.
Fan Question He is small, but fast, can he get it done?
