Donovan McNabb will stay an Eagle

If just does not seem like Eagle football, until someone is asking where Donovan McNabb will be playing football.
Other NFL teams that have made inquiries with the Eagles about the availability of Donavan are hearing he will remain an Eagle.
This is a huge surprise to many.
With the drafting of Kevin Kolb last year it appeared that the oft injured Donovan was headed out the door.
The Eagles are saying otherwise.
The Record
The next speculation is one about Donovan himself. Do you believe he can get the job done? Every year it seems to be something or other that prevents Donovan from having an awesome year ending in playoff victories. At least that is the way we all want to remember it. The truth is something else.
Each year there’s another subject to debate despite what McNabb has done for the Eagles. And what he’s done is take them to four consecutive conference championship games, one Super Bowl and five division titles the past seven years. source
McNabb’s Health
He has never been a question about Donovan’s abilities. His coach, Andy Reid, always has his back as well. The real question has been about Donovan’s ability to stay healthy.
But look what happened when McNabb returned for the last four games: He completed 65 percent of his passes with six touchdowns and one interception. More important, look what happened to the Eagles. They won three of those four, losing only to the New York Giants when a last-second field goal caromed off the upright.
The Giants, of course, went on to win the Super Bowl.
There was a reason for McNabb’s inspired play: He was healthy — or, at least, he was healthier than he was for much of the season. Sure, health is an issue with the guy. It’s always an issue. But that’s why the Eagles drafted Kolb.
Philadelphia has a team that can challenge for the Super Bowl with maybe a few more offensive weapons to go along with a healthy Donovan.
It sounds like this is the course that the Eagles will take for at least this year.
