Analysis
I really liked Danieal Manning coming into this draft. Dusty Dvoracek also seemed like he might be able to help a team beef up their defense.
I didn’t expect either of them to go to the Chicago freaking Bears.
Let me see if I got this straight: you have the top defense in the league, and one of the worst offenses. In the off-season you sign a CB. Come draft time 4 out of your first 5 picks are defensive players. The other is a questionable reciever.
I’m sorry, but this was a horrible draft for the Bears. It’s quite possible not a single player they drafted will start for them, and they have done nothing to improve their team on offense. That doesn’t mean they won’t be good this year, but I guarantee you they won’t be any better than last year. Offensive coordinators are going to have all summer to study that defense and figure out how to beat it.
