Analysis

What I really liked about the Packer’s draft was how they took their picks and Javon Walker and kept trading and trading until they had a whopping 12 selections. Now in all honesty, they probably didn’t get as much from Walker as he was worth, but that assumes they could have kept him, and they couldn’t have. He most likely would never have played for them again, so they did well.

A.J. Hawk was considered by many to be the most obvious pick in the draft, because he was just such a guaranteed talent. With him as well as a couple other signings the Packers should have a fast, talented defense this year. I’m not saying they’ll be the ‘05 Bears, but they should be good enough to keep the team in games where the offense struggles.

I like Greg Jennings, and I like Jason Spitz. A lot of the rest are hit or miss, but with so many shots they’re bound to have a couple of good players in there who should help really build up the team, which is what they need right now.
