Analysis
Laurence Maroney is going to be a very good player in a few years. Not the next LaDanian Tomlinson, but pretty good. The fact that he fell to the Pats was good luck for both parties.
Chad Jackson was not a good pick. As one person said, he seems eerily like the next David Terrel, and I’m kind of surprised the Pats took him, even though some teams had him as the top reciever on their draft board. I think Sinorice Moss would have been a better choice.
Being from Oklahoma I saw a lot of Garrett Mills, and the guy is way underrated. I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up being a top tight end. But it made no sense whatsoever for the Patriots to pick him. They already have two good young tight ends, and they have incredibly urgent needs at defensive back, which they waited until the seventh round to fill. Not good
