Frank Gore carries the 49er’s

Who could see this coming? How can this even be happening? Frank Gore is running wild and the San Francisco 49ers are winning.

Back up 5 weeks ago and St. Louis and Seattle are duking it out for the NFC West Division Championship. But a funny thing happened. The quarterback, Matt Hasselbeck, and running back, Shaun Alexander, for Seattle got hurt, so they started losing, right? No, they continued winning.

Well then, what happened funny? St. Louis stayed healthy with one of the hottest quarterbacks in Marc Bulger and hottest receivers in Tory Holt. So they kept winning, right? No, they went into a tailspin of 5 straight losses. (Squibster full disclosure - Torry Holt is the star receiver of my Fantasy Football team)

That is funny, not in a funny haha kind of way, but in a how the heck did that happen, kind of way.

What about San Francisco?

Ahh, after getting destroyed by San Diego and then having their lunch handed to them in Chicago, they ran into Minnesota at home, Detroit on the road, and Seattle with Seneca Wallace at QB at home. Vwalla, or however you spell it, 3 straight victories.

(Squibster full disclosure - Larry Johnson is the star of my Fantasy Football team)

Frank Gore over Shaun Alexander?

The third victory was especially important for a couple of reasons. One of those reasons was beating division rival Seattle leaving the 49ers one game out of the division lead.

The second reason was Frank Gore getting 1000 yards for the season and 212 in the game. He had a monster game. It was Frank Gore, not Shaun Alexander that got the job done.

The third reason was that Frank made a key fumble that looked like it could cost them the game. Then he sat out and came back in and ripped off a 17 yard run. This guy is for real and his confidence is soaring!

NFL Football Fan Question Can Frank Gore lead the league in rushing? Will Frank Gore have a second career as a Horror Film maker? Just checking if you were reading this stuff.
