Jamal Lewis Finishes Sentence; Returns to Camp
After completing his prison sentence, Jamal still had 500 hours of community service to perform and now that that has been completed, and contract talks have drawn to a close, Jamal Lewis should have no reason to not have his head in the game, right?
One would think anyway.
No one doubts his potential. Three years ago he dominated the league in rushing yards falling just shy of the record set by Eric Dickerson. However, the last two years has seen nothing but a falling off including a surgery, jailtime and preoccupation with other matters.
The Ravens need Lewis bad again this year. They have a contionually pitiful offense that seems to only have any potential on his legs. Steve McNair should be dressing in purple soon which should open up the passing game to give Jamal room to run. I’ll be interested to see how he performs this year.
