Jason Campbell came out on top against Dallas, even when sacked by Chris Canty of the Cowboys
All the questions were answered and all the answers said that Washington will be good this year. Jim Zorn, the new coach, is making a difference and Clinton Portis and Jason Campbell are making plays.

Jason Campbell threw two touchdown passes and Clinton Portis ran for 121 yards, leading Washington to a 26-24 victory Sunday that gave the Dallas Cowboys their first loss and made the toughest division in the NFL even more interesting.
The Redskins came in with consecutive wins since a lousy performance in the opener, but there were still questions about how good they were. Going on the road to beat one of the most talented teams in football certainly improves their perception. For now, at least, Washington has turned the NFC East into a four-team race.
“It feels good watching our players take these strides,” Zorn said. “The football team believes in what we’re doing and that feels good.”
Cowboys cry
In the toughest division in the NFL, the Washington Redskins beat the Dallas Cowboys in a huge early season game.
The Washington Redskins just had it working and the Cowboys did not.
You just love to hear the whining from the so called America’s team. It seems everything just went wrong…
Like the Cowboys’ run defense allowing Clinton Portis to pick up 121 yards on 21 carries after stifling Cleveland, Philadelphia and Green Bay.
Like Tony Romo being pressured too often – although not sacked – despite the absence of the Redskins’ best pass rusher, Jason Taylor.
And like a 12-men-on-the-field penalty – after a Redskins timeout – that not only wiped out a potential third-down stop but allowed the Redskins to eat away more than three minutes before Shaun Suisham’s 29-yard field goal with 3:22 to play forced the Cowboys to try the aforementioned onside kick.

It was a great day for Jason Campbell and the fans let him know it. The much maligned quarterback is King in Washington right now. No bailout was needed while Jason was on the field.
As a large group of Redskins fans converged at the railing atop the tunnel at Texas Stadium, Campbell stopped to chat before joining Washington’s latest locker-room celebration, thanking them for their support throughout the biggest victory of his career. It appeared the appreciation was mutual.
The crowd continued to chant his name as he disappeared beneath them, a fitting ending for Campbell after his strong performance in the first half helped propel the Redskins to an impressive victory against their biggest NFC East rival in front of 63,462.
