Joseph Addai - Licking his chops
NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
To be fair, Joseph Addai will play by hopping on one leg
They lost the big game to the New England Patriots.
Peyton Manning is not ranked the best quarterback, Tom Brady is.
Marvin Harrison will not even play this week against the San Diego Chargers.
Pro Bowl wide receiver Marvin Harrison will not be in uniform for the fourth time in five games when the Indianapolis Colts meet the San Diego Chargers this evening at Qualcomm Stadium.
Harrison suffered a bruised left knee against Denver last month and did not make the trip to San Diego. source
Dallas Clark may not play either due to a concussion.
These are the slowly sinking Indianapolis Colts.
Wait, wait, and wait. Slowly sinking? They lost one stinking game out of 8. That is hardly slowly sinking and the Colts will get another shot at the Pats in due time.
NFL Football Joseph Addai factoid - Last week, running back Joseph Addai became the first player in club history with more than 100 rushing and 100 receiving yards in the same game. source
You have not even mentioned the Chargers. What about their debacle in Minnesota?
the Chargers get run over for 378 yards rushing by Minnesota and rookie Adrian Peterson. They get pounded by a losing team without a proven quarterback or passing game. Granted, it was on the road, but it underscores how mediocre San Diego has become. source
Yeah, Joseph Addai must be licking his chops at the chance to run against the Chargers. The Colts have to be fired up to play this game.
For all the talk about statement games regarding the Chargers, here’s an ideal opportunity for a proven champion to show what it is made of. Beat a desperate home team in the final stop of a challenging four-game stretch. The Colts, for all their faults and miscues against the Patriots, will show they can bounce back from a rare loss. And in the process, they’ll prove the Chargers are paper tigers and not AFC contenders.
The Chargers are only 4 - 4, tied with the Chiefs in the AFC West, not exactly a stellar Division in the NFL.
Against teams with a combined .434 winning percentage last season, the Chargers went 14-2. This year, with the combined win percentage of their opponents thus far at .530, the Chargers are 4-4.
It is a trend that has held true the past four seasons as the Chargers’ win-loss records have spiked and dipped. source
Maybe the Chargers are not for real this year.
Squibster is taking the Colts over the Bolts in this one.
