LT is back to being one of the best
Just the other morning while eating my Cascadian Farms organic raison bran with Fat Free Lactaid milk, there was something staring at me from the milk carton.
It was a picture of LaDainian Tomlinson. The words below the picture said “Have you seen me?” It went on to say how you should report it to your Football Fantasy League and the NFL fans everywhere.
Well someone must have found him and the rumor is that someone is Norv Turner, Coach of the San Diego Chargers.
The Chargers annihilated the Broncos 41 to 3.
The 38-point deficit represented the biggest loss at home for the Broncos since the 1970 NFL-AFL merger. … The Chargers were 0-5 in Denver until last year’s victory, but they have now won two consecutive games there. source
Why it has to be a revelation to use LaDainian Tomlinson is beside me.
The San Diego Chargers handed the Denver Broncos their worst home loss since 1966 by rediscovering their winning formula: hold onto the ball.
And the best way to do that is by handing it to reigning MVP LaDainian Tomlinson and his trusty backup, Michael Turner, who led the Chargers to a 41-3 rout of the reeling Broncos. source
There were other stars as well, such as Antonio Gates the superstar tight end.
Antonio Gates had another big game for the Chargers with seven receptions for 113 yards and a touchdown reception.
In the second half of the game, the San Diego team had a chance to sit back and milk some clock, but instead decided to stay aggressive and it paid off.
Philip Rivers threw a pair of touchdown passes in the second half as San Diego refused to go conservative despite having a big halftime lead. The Chargers had struggled in the second half of their previous three loses.
NFL Sidenote on Travis Henry
Broncos troubled tailback Travis Henry, the league’s leading rusher whose future is in legal limbo while he fights the NFL over a drug test result, gained 65 yards on 16 carries.
Henry is facing a one-year suspension for allegedly failing a drug test last month. He has sued the NFL in hopes of having the test results nullified, and he’ll carry Denver’s rushing load until the case is resolved. source
In the end it was all LT, all game long.
L.T. amassed 140 yards, including 73 on three receptions, and Turner added 147 yards on 10 carries, highlighted by a 74-yard touchdown trot along the Broncos’ bewildered sideline in the fourth quarter.
Yes, football fans, LT is back!

LT’s performance was nice, but Turner dominated in the second half. That 74-yard TD run was unreal. He actually had to slow down toward the end and wait for his receivers to block guys out front.

Beating the Broncos in Denver helped a lot. To give you an idea, during the Chargers loss to KC at home the previous week, fans started chanting “Marty.”
