McNabb, Favre, & Culpepper - a tale of 3 QBs
NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
With few exceptions McNabb, Favre, & Culpepper have been in the top five or six of all quarterbacks in the league in the past several years. Peyton Manning would, of course, have to be number one with Tom Brady close behind, one for his massive stats and the other for his efficiency and ability to win.
For the Favre haters out there that say he takes too many chances and often throws into crowds, well, you are correct on both counts, but keep in mind the level of talent he is surrounded with is not very good. Brett lets it all hang out and then some, because there is not much to lose.
Those that don’t care much for McNabb, because of injuries have to remember that he was easily the top Fantasy football player last year until he once again got hurt. Keep in mind most teams would still trade pretty much anything to get him on their team.
Now Culpepper brings out an even stronger cast of doubters, since he has had his knee surgery and not really come back from that. Again, we have to remember that year that Manning threw his 49 touchdowns Culpepper had one of the top quarterback years of all time.
Try this out for size, a 110.9 QB rating with 39 touchdown passes, only 11 interceptions and 2 touchdowns rushing.
Like them or not the 3 may all be back his year and if any of them come close to being in top form, you will wish they were on your team.
Donovan
NFL:McNabb believes he’ll be OK for camp
Now that Donovan McNabb has taken some snaps and thrown a few passes, he believes he’s ready for training camp. McNabb, the Eagles’ five-time Pro Bowl quarterback, completed his first week of practice since suffering a torn knee ligament in his right knee Nov. 19 and expects to be on the field next month. source
Brett
Sore right shoulder puts Favre on sideline
Quarterback Brett Favre, 37, was held out of the practices Wednesday and Thursday because of a sore right shoulder. The medical staff doesn’t consider the injury serious.
Daunte
Dolphins quarterback Daunte Culpepper suffered a slight bruise to his nonthrowing (left) hand in a two-car accident. Culpepper said the vintage Chevrolet car he was driving was rear-ended by another motorist late Wednesday night on a South Florida highway.
Maybe instead of complaining about all of their problems or shortcomings we should appreciate the skill of these three top quarterbacks.
