McNair In, Titans Out
Now that the NFL arbitrator has ruled in the case of Steve McNair v. Tennessee Titans and has said that as long as Steve McNair is under contract with the Titans, they have to allow him to use the team’s workout facility in the offseason, one wonders how long McNair will be on the payroll. It’s no secret that the Titans are in serious salary cap trouble and that they have to release him or rework his $9 million contract before they can do anything more in terms of free agency. Everyone knows McNair is going to be released. Now the question is “when?”
It’s June 1st today, folks. Training camp starts in 7 weeks. I would think Tennessee can’t wait until then to make an official move on McNair. I would expect the Titans to dump him as soon as Monday and him to be a Baltimore Raven as soon as Tuesday. Just my guess.
