NFL Football Revealed on Squib Kick

Michael Vick may exit, Beware the Joey curse!

by James on May 30th, 2007

NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.

You wonder looking at Vick if there is any fight left in the dog?

Michael VickDo you know about the Joey curse?

Joey Harrington is happy. Yeah, yeah, that is not anything to do with the curse, but we are getting to that.

But then Joey is usually happy. When he played for the Lions, Joey’s happiness bothered the fans. They thought he was not serious. Trust me, Joey is serious. Joey loves to be competitive.

Oh, geez, did the Squibster just say ‘Trust Me’?

Let’s get back to Joey’s happiness.

Don’t worry, we are getting to the curse…

Joey Harrington has signed to play for the Atlanta Falcons and believes he has found his little piece of heaven.

Atlanta gave him a two year contract for 6 Million dollar contract.

Do you think Atlanta knows about the Joey curse?

They will soon find out.

Why? The Michael Vick problems just do not seem to be going away. The dog fight incident has been growing and it has been growing at the wrong time with Roger Goodell, the new commissioner, on the rampage. Goodell is going to stamp out problems with a punctuation mark and thinks nothing of suspending players for extended lengths of time.

So who would be Atlanta’s quarterback?

You guessed it, Joey Harrington.

And then comes the curse…

Think about it, Joey starts for the Lions, two coaches lose their jobs and the team ends up worse.

Joey starts for the Dolphins and the coach, Nick ‘the terrible’ Saban, leaves for Alabama and the team ends up worse.

NFL Sidenote: Is Nick ready for Bama, where half the fans will worship him like a minor god and the other half will want to stick the dagger in his back? Et Tu Bama fans? OK, so my Latin is bad, you get the point.

Now Joey will be starting for the Falcons and Bobby Petrino will have to find the exit and the team will be worse.

No, no, no, don’t call me a Joey Hater. You will find me defending Joey and his time with the Lions. It was not all his fault. They kept getting worse after he left.

But then that was the curse!

NFL Football Fan Question Do you believe in curses? Explain the Cubs. Oops, wrong sport. Explain the Lions.

As always, any NFL Football related comments are welcome.
