NFL Draft Round 1- Buffalo Bills select Donte Whitner
With the 8th overall pick in the 2006 NFL draft the Buffalo Bills have selected Donte Whitner, SS, Ohio State University.
This was a surprise. At best I’d seen him projected to go late first round to a team like the Bengals, not top 10. The Bills obviously think he’s got some intagibles that will make him something good, but I can’t quite get behind this pick. It just doesn’t seem like the best one they could have made. Time will tell
The Detroit Lions are on the clock. (and we all know they’re taking Santanio Holmes in their goal to have 22 first round recievers starting for their team)
