NFL Draft Round 1- Jacksonville selects Marcedes Lewis
With the 28th overall pick in the 2006 NFL draft the Jacksonville Jaguars have selected Marcedes Lewis, TE, UCLA.
The tight end everyone had going to the Bears ended up with the Jaguars. Their defense was pretty solid last year, so going for an offensive player makes sense with guys like Fred Taylor and Jimmy Smith as the people you’re relying on. Solid choice, but he’s going to need the quarterback to get him the ball.
The NY Jets are on the clock
