NFL Draft Round 1- San Diego Chargers select Antonio Cromartie
With the 18th overall pick in the 2006 NFL draft the San Diego Chargers have selected Antonio Cromartie, CB, Florida State University.
Yet another Florida State player. Yet another defensive player. I don’t think anyone could have forseen this. I’m a little surprised the Chargers didn’t get an offensive player to help out the young Philip Rivers who now has to guide this team. Of course, their defense could use a little help, and Cromartie was one of the top rated defensive backs in the draft, and I even saw some people having him chosen in the top ten, so not a bad pick by San Diego.
Kansas City is on the clock.
