NFL Draft Round 1- Tennessee Titans select Vince Young
With the 3rd overall pick in the 2006 NFL draft the Tennessee Titans have selected Vince Young, QB, University of Texas.
All in all this doesn’t come as much of a surprise to me. I knew they didn’t care much for Cutler, and they need a quarterback, so it was down to Matt Leinhart or Vince Young. If they chose Young they’d have a guy who has a great relationship with Steve McNair, and who is really a very similar player. His training would probably come along quickly, and he might develop into a similar player.
With Leinhart they’d have a polished quarterback working with his old offensive coordinator. Vince Young earned this spot in the Rose Bowl, and I commend the Titans on taking the gamble.
The NY Jets are on the clock.

Let me just say as a native Tennesseean and a current resident of Aggieland - I am SICK about this. What to do with all of my Titans wear? Aargh. I knew this was going to happen. :( :( :(

It was the best pick the Titans could have made. I’m not quite sure I can say the same about the Texans though…

I knew they were going to pick Vince, I just knew it. Damned teasips. Ugh. And I don’t know WHAT the Texans were thinking. Im gonna go do something else now. LOL Enjoy the rest of the draft Jesse!

Oh don’t be fooled - he isn’t far from the computer - and I KNOW he isn’t far from the draft. ;) LOL Aaron - hope you have a great vacation. :)
