NFL Football Revealed on Squib Kick

NFL Football - Fantasy Football to be offered as a College Degree

by James on September 3rd, 2006

NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.

Steve Smith SI comFantasy Football has taken over the world. It rules. Check out this Fantasy Football help article on breaking down every play for every team to figure out who to pick and who to play. It is called Trusting the Numbers. Hey, aren’t stats for liars?

For your gallivanting author it is a whole new world. Back in the day, Calculus was a very difficult subject. Yours truly actually had to study and attend class! But he made it through it and went on the graduate. Fantasy Football needs to be taught in College, maybe a whole Fantasy Sports degree!

Calculus seems easy compared to preparing for a Fantasy Football draft. There is valued added and team comparison and injury reports and trades and upgrades and downgrades and a bench to build and aahhhh! Calculus, on the other hand, consisted of memorizing about 50 formulas and learning how to use them.

And don’t forget, there is Average Value Theory, Value Based Drafting, and, not to be forgotten, Consistency Scores. If that is not enough there are all kinds of cheatsheets to go by.

Anyway my first Fantasy Football draft comes up at 2 o’clock, so wish me luck. My system, after careful thought, is lots of luck and guesswork. That works, doesn’t it?
