Not a mock draft, but…
I’ve made a rule, and that is that I will never do a mock draft. Not even try to. It’s just pointless.
I have never seen a mock draft that didn’t have at least five or six mistakes in it. Never.
What I will do, however, is say what position each team would be recommended to draft. So instead of saying “Aaron Brooks sucks, the Raiders should try to get Jay Cutler,” I’ll just say the Raiders need a quarterback.
Without further ado:

All right! The Vikes are set at Punter and Place Kicker! Things are looking up!

Um…no, they aren’t. Darren Bennett isn’t much of a punter, though Ryan Longwell is a decent kicker.
To be honest, I don’t see them having much of a year. I don’t know what happened at the end of last year, but it was more luck than anything. The Vikings were not almost a playoff team, they were worse than that. Since then they have lost some decent to good players (Culpepper, Burleson) and not done anything to replace them.
Unless they have a great draft and sign some key free agents, I don’t see them doing better than 6-10, really

Well, this is the NFC North. 6-10 just might take the division this year.

I would disagree with the LB prediction for the Ravens. Especially for Round 1. I am predicting a WR for round 1, DT for round 2, OLB for Round 3 and then focussing on the O line… Just my guess.

They’ve already got Todd Heap, Marc/k Clayton, and Derrick Mason. They have more urgent needs, like Ray Lewis getting old, Ed Reed, not being dependable, etc…..

They have Todd Heap - as long as he is not hurt which he has been for large portions of the past seasons. They have Mark Clayton who is promising but not proven with only one year under his belt. They have Derrick MAson which is great, esp if the rumors of the Ravens getting Steve McNair are true. But WRs have always been a weakness for the Ravens and I’m not comfy with the situation as it stands right now. Remember also that Todd Heap is a TE and usually a blocking TE.
Ray Lewis is not the only LB that the Ravens have. In fact, Adalius Thomas, Terrell “King Ugly” Suggs AND Ray Lewis as established cornerstones of the linebacker core, not to mention several quality “lesser knowns”.
I’d say the main focus for the Ravens is a deteriorating Offensivce Line but no team in their right mind goes for O-line talent in the first or second round…

What the Ravens really need is a completely new team
