NFL Football Revealed on Squib Kick

Pacman Jones from classic to Cowboy?

by James on March 28th, 2008

NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.

Pacman Jones exclaims it was only 60 large

Some guys just don’t ever get it.

Pacman is some guys. He will never get it, but that does not stop Dallas owner Jerry Jones from trying to sign him.

The Dallas Cowboys as a team are real close to winning a Super Bowl. If you had to rate them going into the playoffs last year, then you would find them somewhere just behind the Patriots, but ahead of the New York Giants.

The Cowboys had won both regular season matchups with the Giants.

Now Pacman Jones, when he leaves the strip clubs and goes on the football field, is one of the best cornerbacks in the game.

Jerry Jones has a habit of looking the other way at a man’s character if he has football talent.

The issue Jerry Jones has to consider is whether he can get the 24-year-old Pacman Jones to behave just long enough. If Pacman can keep it together for a season or two, the Cowboys might get what they crave before letting him go.

Forget teaching a lesson, there’s a Lombardi Trophy to be won. source

Meanwhile, Pacman just struggles to understand what the NFL wants out of him. He wants everything on his terms and always has wanted things on his terms.

Not only did Jones stay out until the wee hours of the morning at a New York strip club the night before meeting with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell about the Las Vegas incident, he obviously didn’t get Goodell’s message. Jones came away thinking he wouldn’t even get a season-long suspension. More than 10 months after being suspended, Jones – who must have his reinstatement application approved by Goodell in order to play again – remains out of the league.

Now Pacman gallantly says he will stay out of strip clubs for 3 or 4 years to be good. Then he goes on the Michael Irvin show to air his views.

During the interview, Jones quibbled that the report about the Vegas incident was off-base because he didn’t really have the $85,000 with him that was reported. He only had $60,000.

To paraphrase Monty Python, “let’s not bicker and argue over who killed who.”

Oh boy, the Cowboys can have this guy.

Of course, the Commish has to let him back in the league first. Roger Goodell is looking at all of Pacman’s good deed’s; like working in the soup kitchen, volunteering at the elderly home, working with young kids preaching keeping them out of gangs and …Wait a minute, Pacman missed all those things. He was too busy sleeping in after a late night out.

Good luck, Cowboys. Good luck, Pacman, yours is an uphill battle.
