Pacman Jones on TV
NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
Pacman Jones turned himself in. It was on TV. Your intrepid author watched him walk into the police department.
Why do they show this stuff?
Guess Charles Barkley is right. He said athletes are not role models. Parents should be role models.
Great, Charles, only one problem, the athletes are on TV, not the parents.
Pacman’s lawyers complained.
Jones’ attorneys complained that police had unfairly handled his latest case.
“They gave us a one-day notice to get people cross-country on warrants that weren’t even issued yet,” lawyer Manny Arora said.
Arora alleged that a criminal complaint wasn’t filed until June 21 and said defense lawyers had to prod authorities to file an arrest warrant so Jones could turn himself in.
“It just seems like they’re more worried about press releases than the facts of the case,” Arora said. source
Police said Pacman was getting no special treatment.
Hey, did we forget about the NFL suspension? How will this affect that?
Jones has been suspended for the upcoming NFL season for disciplinary reasons. League and team officials had said he might be reinstated for good behavior after the Titans’ 10th regular-season game. source
Guess Pacman’s TV appearances may be in a stripped suit instead of on a stripped field.
NFL Football Fan Question Should Pacman just be released from the NFL all together?
