Paul Posluszny linebacker extraordinaire - Buffalo will still have a toughalo time
NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
Paul takes his anger out on one of my Spartans, ouch!
J.P. Losman is your quarterback.
Who?
J.P. Los..
Ok, ok, J.P. we get it. Knew who he was, just didn’t care. You know and we know that Losman should be called Lose man.
Face it, Buffalo had some severe losses and may have picked up some good players to replace them, but the Bills aren’t really going anywhere.
Paul Posluszny and Marshawn Lynch may turn out to be great rookies, but the key word is rookies.
So what did the Bills do right and do they have any future expectations?
This is what I like about the Buffalo Bills’ offseason moves: They upgraded their offensive line with the additions of a pair of free agents, guard Derrick Dockery from the Washington Redskins and tackle Langston Walker from the Oakland Raiders. The 6-foot-6, 330-pound Dockery and 6-8, 345-pound Walker bring considerable size and skill that should improve the protection of J.P. Losman, who was sacked 47 times last season, and help establish a more consistently effective rushing attack. source
The Bills did manage to also land Paul Posluszny from Penn State in the second round. This guy is one serious linebacker. Some say he was one of the best to come out of Linebacker U.
Tonight, he will become the 11th recipient of the Maxwell Club’s Chuck Bednarik Award as the outstanding defensive player in college football. He received 294 votes from the Maxwell Club selectors, finishing well ahead of A.J. Hawk (188), the All-America linebacker from Ohio State. He is the second Nittany Lion to receive the Bednarik Award, joining LaVar Arrington, who won in 1999.
Another proud alumnus of “Linebacker U”, Hall of Famer Jack Ham considers Posluszny the best of them all. “Of all the great ones to play here, I rate him No. 1,” Ham said. “There’s not a weakness in his game.” source
It would be a great gain except for the fact that last year the Bills had London Fletcher, so Paul is just a replacement.
Of course, if none of the season ticketholders want to go to the games, there is the new ticketmaster deal.
Officials said the new pact will include the launch of the Bills TicketExchange where ticket holders may post tickets to home games for resale. A link will be found via the team’s Web site, buffalobills.com. source
So they lost a running back and added a running back. They lost a linebacker and added a linebacker. They still will try to win with Losman and they do have new tackles.
Kind of hard to believe the new tackles are going to make all the difference.
NFL Football Fan Question Will you be rooting for the Bills new tackles?

Losman had a good season last year. Check the stats, especially in the last 6 weeks of the year.

He did, there is no doubt, but is he the guy to take you to the Promised Land?
