Huo Yuanjia was fearless

It was the perfect time for the defense of the Colts to show up. The pre-story of the game was, to beat the Colts, you just had to keep Peyton Manning off the field. That was supposed to be the forte of Kansas City. After all, they had Larry Johnson at running back.

Larry had gained 1,789 yards during the season. That is a whole lot of yards and a whole lot of ball control.

Unfortunately Larry could not run and KC could not keep Peyton off the field.

Final Score Indianapolis Colts 23 Kansas City Chiefs 8

Peyton tried… to put the Chiefs back on the field with 3 interceptions, but the Chiefs could not even get a first down in the 1st half. That is right. No first downs.

NFL Football Movie Break Just finished watching Fearless with Jet Li. It is the story of Huo Yuanjia, who fought for China to gain respect. If you love Martial Arts movies then you are heading to the rental store right now! Great Fight scenes! And for once, a Martial Arts movie with a story. (What are you waiting for, go rent this movie. Squibster has spoken).

When Herman Edwards was asked at halftime about switching quarterbacks and going with Damon Huard. He said no. When asked if he might later in the game if things continue to go bad and he said “No, never”.

Hmm, Trent Green threw for 107 yards and 2 interceptions. Sound likes Herman Edwards may have made the wrong decision.

Peyton makes them go

Peyton Manning was 30 of 38 for 268 yards and 1 touchdown with 3 interceptions. Kansas City took away the deep ball and once Peyton accepted that, he got the job done.

Now we have to wonder. None of us believed in the Colts lately. Except maybe the Squibster. They can’t stop the run. Could have fooled the Chiefs.

Seems some teams are determined to run so much on the Colts that they forget their game. Once Indy gets up on you, you are done. Peyton becomes like a machine.

Maybe we have forgotten that Indy is 13 - 4 with a deadly passing game and an emerging running game. Don’t count out the colts just yet.
