Peyton Manning leads Indianapolis Colts over the Denver Broncos
NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
Peyton passes to victory
The final score was Indianapolis 34 and Denver 31. Peyton Manning was brilliant.
Oh boy, this is going to be tough to live with. Even though your intrepid author picked Indy to win by 7, it won’t matter. You see, my wife picked Indy to win in the Poll. The Poll ended up in a tie, but my wife as usual was correct. ohhhh, this is going to be a tough week..
Now you could say your gallivanting author was wrong,… because of the 7 point spread thrown in with my pick, but geez, the Squibster has been wrong so much lately that you just have to give me this one. Oh, and don’t tell the wife anything about that spread thing.
The game was awesome. It appeared for the first half that Denver was going to control the game. They lead at half 14 to 6. Peyton brought Indy back with two TDs to Reggie Wayne in the 3rd quarter. Late in the fourth, Mike Bell broke a long run to set up Denver with the tieing field goal by Jason Elam, long time Bronco kicker.
That is when Peyton Manning went to work from his own twenty he took the team up the field in a little over a minute. Then they let the clock run down and onto the field ran Adam Vinatieri to once again kick a clutch field goal to win the game. This time he was kicking it for Indianapolis and not New England.
NFL Football Indianapolis factoid Indy is 31st against the run.
Peyton ended up with 345 yards and 3 TD passes all to Reggie Wayne. He was vintage Peyton on the last drive.
Don’t look now, but Indianapolis is 7-0 heading into a showdown with New England, whose only loss is to, you guessed it, Denver. New England has to play the Monday night game against Minnesota later tonight.
NFL Football Fan Question Did you get a chance to see Peyton in action? If not take the time to see him play. He is going to go down in history as one of the all time greats.
As always, any NFL Football related comment is welcome.

What a great game. It would have been nice if my Comcast DVR would have not stopped recording as Indy started their final drive to win. Next week the DVR get’s set to record CBS and Fox from 1pm-7pm. Hey, just a though, we should have a Squibkick Fantasy League next year.

Technosailor has me in a league this year. Also he is running a suicide league starting this Sat. You should get in.
My DVR gives me fits too. Seems like the cable guy is parked in my drive all day every day.
That final drive was amazing. Peyton was throwing out of a pocket smaller than my cubicle at work.
Hey, BNP, does Peyton ever have a bad game? Don’t get to see all his games, was just wondering.
Sorry you missed it.
