Randy Moss becomes a part of the Brady bunch
NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
You benched me? Squibster that better not happen again!
Wow, there they are, the Brady bunch.
Wes Welker, Donte Stallworth, and Randy Moss.
Who could have imagined that Tom Brady could go from throwing to guys whose faces were on milk cartons to throwing to these 3 players?
Star, Star, and Super Star (with a little tarnish)
Randy Moss continues to haunt me.
As a Viking, Randy hooked up with Daunte Culpepper to destroy my Detroit Lions over and over again. It got to the point that you just wanted to plant a safety back at the goal line to wait for the inevitable bomb to Moss.
Randy leaves the Vikings in sort of a mutual get lost thing and goes to Oakland. Who knew that Moss did not want to play for them? Not your gallivanting author, that is for sure. Randy was on my Fantasy Football team largely taking up space.
This year Randy goes to the Pats for a total makeover and rejuvenation of his career. Once again, your intrepid author boldly drafts where no other fantasy GM will draft before or something like that. Anyway, Randy is on my team, but Yahoo lists a report that Randy may not play much in the first game. So in a huge gaffe, the Squibster benches Randy Moss and he goes off for 9 receptions, 183 yards, and a touchdown.
Oh, and the old Moss, is he still there?
Moss was in robust form last Sunday, when he streaked across the entire field in the third quarter to beat triple coverage on a 51-yard scoring play. “I’ve been in the league long enough that catching balls and running after the catch comes natural,” he says. But there was due concern throughout the preseason as his left hamstring was slow to heal, and there were at least a few plays against the Jets — passing plays, mind you, including one near the Jets’ goal line — on which he plainly loafed.
Was it tiredness or simply Moss being Moss? It was both. source
Will the Patriots tolerate this kind of stuff?
The Raiders allowed Moss to pout on the field, despite the protests of several veteran teammates. Belichick won’t tolerate such behavior off the field, let alone on it. In this regard, though, Belichick tends to get too much credit: When it comes to his offense, the coach doesn’t have to head such problems off at the pass because Brady, an intimidating leader behind the matinee-idol mask, beats him to it. “The ultimate teammate,” is how Stallworth describes his quarterback.
Maybe the only ones more unhappy than the Squibster are the Packers. They could have landed Randy in the off season and could not pull the trigger.
Moss didn’t make a catch in the preseason, but he proved that the preseason doesn’t matter if you’re a talented veteran. It would have cost the Packers a fifth-round pick and a measly $4 million to land Moss — a straight cash deal. But in crunch time, when a deal had to be made, the Packers worried about Moss being too much to handle in the locker room and thought about maybe saving some money on the deal, simply to protect themselves in case Moss proved to be a problem child. source
Don’t tell Randy, but next week Moss is in my starting lineup!

no way, randy is on fire right now, he did whatever he wanted whenever he wanted it on the field. the guy might have the mindset of a teenager but he´s got undeniable talent and with leaders around him, it should push his talent to the limit.

Knowing the Pats, it will not be all Randy every week, but if you are right, better hand out that trophy right now.
