The games at this part of the season are crazy at best. You just don’t know who will play and only a few teams have anything to play for.
LaDainian Tomlinson rushed for 123 yards, but 0 touchdowns in a victory over Seattle 20 - 17.
LT regained the rushing lead over Larry Johnson of Kansas City, but LT’s TD’s rushing record stayed firm at 28. (Squibster full disclosure - Larry is on my Fantasy Football Team)
Now what do you do, Drew Brees followed a 5 touchdown game 2 weeks ago with a 0 game and a 1 touchdown game this Sunday to beat the Giants 30 - 7.
Both players seem to be kicking back for the playoffs. Both teams are winning. Who gets the stinking MVP?

Da Bears and Rex Grossman
Chicago played their varsity team against the Lions for only 3 quarters and managed to win anyway 26 - 21.
Rex Grossman played a lot and was adequate. If you have an adequate Rex with the Bears, it is almost like any other team having the ghost of John Unitas. It makes them very very tough to beat.
Jessica Simpson and busted by my Wife
NFL Football Squibster Commercial Break The wife wanted to talk during the Lions game. As luck would have it, the Jessica Simpson commercial was playing, so your intrepid author hit the pause button. Not sure what the wife said. She is smart though and figured it out. She laughed it off. Squibster knows he picked the right partner!
Back to being the Bungles
The saga of Cincinnati ends with a 1 point loss to Denver 24 - 23. It had been a tumultuous season with Carson Palmer returning from knee surgery, Rudi Johnson at one time leading the league in rushing, and Chad Johnson having a less than stellar start for 8 games. (Squibster full disclosure - Carson and Rudi are on my Fantasy Football Team)
The Bengals kept fighting. Everyone said they had no Defense, so they went out and beat Baltimore 13 to 7.
Everyone said Chad Johnson talked too much and appeared on too many magazine covers, so starting with game number 9, he had games of 260 yards, 190, 123, 91, and 101 yards with 5 touchdowns to boot.
Carson Palmer has come back from knee surgery to throw for over 3500 yards and 26 touchdowns with still a game at home against the Steelers to go.
We keep waiting for Michael Vick
Micheal Vick comes off a 4 td game to have a no td game, but does manage to go over 1,000 yards to set a QB record for rushing. No QB had ever rushed for more than 1,000 yards.
Atlanta lost to Carolina 10 - 3. Chris Weinke manages to complete 4 passes and win.
NFL Football Morten Anderson factoid
Dec 24 Chris Pika, of AtlantaFalcons.com, reports Atlanta Falcons PK Morten Andersen kicked his 539th career field goal during the Week 16 game. He is now the NFL’s all-time leader in field goals, breaking former NFL PK Gary Anderson’s mark of 538 career field goals. source
