NFL Football Revealed on Squib Kick

Saban is the next volcano ready to explode

by James on October 17th, 2006

NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.

Come on, who is kidding who. Nick is ready to explode. Miami is 1 and 5. Nick does not take kindly to losing. Take it from your intrepid writer who got to see Nick as head coach of my Michigan State Spartans.

The man is wired and everyone around him gets caught up in it. You can feel the tension. Privately, a lot of MSU fans were glad to see Nick leave, because he was always so tense and so intense. Your gallivanting writer was sad to see him leave, because he was an excellent recruiter and football coach.

If he is acting calm now, then it is just a matter of time. It is the calm before the storm. He can’t win with Joey Harrington at quarterback or how about Ronnie Brown at running back? Probably won’t be seeing those two in a Pro Bowl soon. He can’t win with poor pass defense in a pass happy league either.

Luckily it is the mercurial Jets and the sloppy Bills ahead of them in the standings, but you still have to win games to get past them and forget about getting past New England.

So stay clear of Nick, because he is going to blow!

NFL Football Fan Question Isn’t great when your coach is mean, tough, nasty, and intense?

As always, any NFL related comments are welcome.

I like mean in a coach when it comes to losing, and not necessarily John L. Smith attacking himself.

I look at coaches who have won consistently, like Scotty Bowman, Bill Cowher, Jim Leyland, Pat Riley, and Tom Izzo. Their players will not always profess liking the coach, especially when the team is struggling. But, their players respect the coach and tend to love the coach during the championship celebration…

But, these coaches back it up by winning, so Nick better deliver before he returns to the SEC with the ‘Ole Ball Coach.

Everyday it is fire John L, don’t fire John L., he is doing good things that have not shown up yet. My guess is he needs a bowl game to survive.

As for Nick, he needs players and that will have to wait until after the season. A fully healthy Culpepper would help.
