Seattle has the stuff
It is always good for your favorite writer when Michigan State University and the underperforming Spartans come out on top of any dealings that involve the heavily favored and always better than good, Michigan Wolverines. So what could be better than a NFL team improving themselves by getting rid of a Wolverine and taking the money to buy a Spartan!
That is what happened for Seattle, as Steve Hutchinson (former Wolverine) left as a free agent to go to Minnesota. Seattle took the money and bought Julian Peterson (former Spartan). Julian is a former 2 time pro bowler with the 49er’s.

Hey, don’t get me wrong here, Steve Hutchinson is a great lineman and will now be punishing the defenders including my Detroit Lions. His old running mate on the UofM line, Jeff Bachus, will be on the line for Detroit. Coming out of college, Steve was rated the higher of the two.
On the other hand, Julian’s career has been a big surprise even in college. He was somewhat undersized, but very quick. That quickness coupled with constant aggresion, has made him a star in college and the pros.
Seattle seems to think, with the Julian Peterson addition to their defense and other off season moves, that their team will be even better than last year. That is a scary thought. Seattle was 13 and 3 last year and undefeated at home.
This year they open against my incredibly unwonderful Detroit Lions. In total, 4 of their away games are against losing teams. Now get this, only 3 of their home games are against above .500 teams. So another 13 and 3 record seems very possible.
Special Note Steve Hutchinson is an All Pro guard and received a 49 million dollar contract from the Minnesota Vikings.
Fan Question 13 and 3 ? Can Seattle do it again? Can they win it all?
