Time to make my mark

Stephen Jackson has went from 4 touchdowns to 10 touchdowns to 16 touchdowns in his three years.

At times it looked like Big Time Wrestling as Jackson motored down the field stomping over everyone in his path. Speed and Power. It is hard to argue with that.

Could this be the year that Stephen Jackson becomes the hottest property in NFL Football?

Maybe we should examine the evidence and come to our own conclusion.

Now it appears that even though his team the St. Louis Rams are not moving up, that Stephen is moving up in value. Stephen Jackson has become a most valuable property in the world of Fantasy Football.

Last year, Jackson’s goal was 1,600 yards rushing; he fell just short with 1,528 yards. Last year was still a breakout season for Jackson, who led the NFL with 2,334 yards rushing and receiving — 11 ahead of San Diego’s LaDainian Tomlinson. source

Last year everyone wanted to get LT or LJ or Shaun Alexander. Poor Shaun got wiped out by injuries and never really came back. That caught everyone by surprise after Shaun had 5 awesome years in a row capped off by a 28 touchdown year!

LT proved to be gold and anyone that picked him had to be in the finals for their league. Tomlinson just ran away with everything in site with a 31 touchdown year. Mark that one unbelievable.

LJ also had a fine year. (Squibster full disclosure - Larry was on my Fantasy Team and helped me win the regular season. Somehow it feels like he still belongs to me.) Larry had a 19 touchdown year with his second consecutive over 1700 yard rushing season. KC with Herm Edwards calling the shots will try to get Larry even more than his NFL record 416 carries this year.

So where does that leave Stephen Jackson? Maybe taking Shaun’s place? Some think it may be more than that.

S-Jax managed 2,334 total yards from scrimmage last season, the fifth-best total in NFL history. He rushed for 13 scores and caught three more, and by the way, also caught an incredible 90 passes, compared to 19 his rookie year and 43 in ‘05.
In the final third of ‘06, when offensive coordinator Greg Olson assumed play-calling duties, Jackson went crazy: 717 yards rushing, 324 yards receiving, 11 total touchdowns and 4.75 yards per carry in six games.
Now, I’m not suggesting Jackson over Tomlinson. But I may be suggesting Jackson over LJ. source

So right now it may be LT, then Stephen Jackson, then Larry Johnson.
