Tedy Bruschi stays excited to win
We all dream of going out on top. Oh, how nice it would be. The championship. The trophy. The wild screaming fans. All that money and adulation. Bring it on!
But let’s face it, unless our name is Jerome Bettis, that is not happening.
The other great motivator is losing.
Go out and lose, young man. Get motivated.
Huh?
That is right. Losing can make you burn so much, that it can be a great motivator.
Jerome had winning. Well, Tedy Bruschi is not Jerome Bettis. Jerome won and left (on top). Tedy won and stayed.
Now he has lost. Ouch! The sting of losing to the Colts is too much. Tedy Bruschi has decided to stay and play one more year!
Now unfortunately for Jerome Bettis, his boys, the Steelers fell apart after he left.
The Steelers began to implode in the off season after winning it all. They forgot how much hard work, good luck, great timing, teamwork, dedication, etc. goes into winning. They forgot how many things went their way down the stretch run of the playoffs.
New England has not forgotten. They are an organization that expects to win through hard work and sacrifice for the team goals.
What about Tom Brady? Isn’t he a little distracted? After all he is expecting a baby.
It will be interesting to see if this throws off the plans for the Patriots to regain dominance.
The scary part is that New England was so close to winning and yet did not have a quality pair of receivers. What if they pick up the receivers?
So will Teddy Bruschi be motivated? You bet.
Will he work hard? Yes, he will.
Is Tom Brady pulling a Ben Roethlisberger distraction (motorcycle accident) and losing focus? Time will tell.
Did Jerome Bettis retire on top? Oh, yeah!
Will Tedy Bruschi retire on top? He is going to give it his best shot!
