Thanksgiving Football Preview
NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Spend time with your families, give thanks, eat a lot of food and watch some football. I also wanted to tell James Edwards, the regular writer of this blog, that we are all thinking about him and praying for his speedy recovery.
Green Bay Packers (9-1) @ Detroit Lions (6-4)
The Packers, who are undefeated on the road this season, travel to Detroit to play the Lions, a team that was undefeated at home until they lost last week to the New York Giants. For the Packers, Brett Favre has had a great season. With 2975 yards, 19 touchdowns and only eight interceptions, Favre has surpassed everyone’s expectations coming into the season. For the Lions, they rely on a big play defense and a talented corps of receivers in Roy Williams, Calvin Johnson, Mike Furrey and Shaun McDonald.
New York Jets (2-8) @ Dallas Cowboys (9-1)
While this looks like a blowout on paper, the Jets pulled out a stunning victory last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers. To beat the Cowboys, the Jets will need a breakthrough performance from their young quarterback Kellen Clemens. For the Cowboys to win, they’ll need to keep doing what they’ve been doing this season – dominating offensively. The Tony Romo to Terrell Owens connection has been great this season, particularly in recent weeks.
Indianapolis Colts (8-2) @ Atlanta Falcons (3-7)
The Colts started their season 7-0 before falling to the New England Patriots in Week 9. After losing against the San Diego Chargers the next week, the Colts bounced back with a win last week against the Chiefs. The Falcons have been circling the drain ever since the Michael Vick saga unfolded. However they had actually won two weeks in a row before falling to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week. In this matchup, the Colts will look to take advantage of the Falcons’ porous defense, while the Falcons hope for big plays from their young playmakers such as DeAngelo Hall and Jerious Norwood.
