The Cardinals just might be ready to move past Warner
A recent article at azcentral.com hints at the idea that the Cardinals just might not like the idea of sticking with Kurt Warner long term. He’s getting kind of old, everyone knows he’s a bit brittle, and while he can be great at times, he’s not going to take the team on his shoulders and put them in the playoffs. The Cardinals seem to be big on Jay Cutler, and they also seem to like Vince Young but they’ll have to hope they lasts long enough for them to pick either one.
They’re both at the top of a lot of team’s draft boards, so if by some fluke he lasts longer than expected don’t expect him to drop like a rock as Aaron Rodgers did last year until he landed in the Packers’ lap. The Cards have the tenth overall pick in the draft, and a lot of people are expecting all three quarterbacks to be taken in the first seven or so, so it’s definitely not guaranteed.
