The hype surrounding Reggie Bush is amazing. But in a way, we all have to stand by and marvel at it, and at the same time wish Reggie luck.
Now don’t get me wrong, he can’t go beating my Detroit Lions. That is not what is being said here. What would be great is if Reggie had a great year and so did New Orleans. Let’s face it the city has been through a lot. More than the rest of us probably will ever face. Give them Reggie and hope he turns into Barry Sanders or Michael Vick or just Reggie. In fact, just Reggie would probably be best of all.
Is it easy to see that he is something special. The quiet charisma is there. The intensity and willingness to do everything from catch passes to running back punts. Now can he run in the NFL? That has yet to be proven.
What is already proven is that the community of New Orleans has embraced Reggie and, in turn, he has given from the heart and wants to do so much more. Everyone can see the specialness and it is causing the endorsements to fly in and a mad pace.
Your intrepid writer gives three hip hip hurray’s for Reggie. May he be the King of New Orleans and lead like a warrior on the football field.
