Tom Brady sets NFL record
It actually turned out to be a great game, unless you are a Cowboys fan.
To the non-denominational watcher it was a great match up.
New England has been great all year, but on this day Tom Brady happened to be on fire.
New England totally ignored the run with Lawrence Maroney out and went on to throw 6 touchdown passes.
Patriots running back Laurence Maroney missed his third straight game Sunday because of a groin injury, and Sammy Morris started in his place against the Dallas Cowboys.

Along the way, Tom Brady set an NFL record.
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady became the first NFL quarterback to throw at least three touchdown passes in each of the first six games of a season when he had three in the first half against Dallas on Sunday.
Former San Francisco quarterback Steve Young threw at least three touchdowns in each of the first five games of the 1998 season.
Brady added two more TD passes after halftime to set a career high with five in a game. He increased his NFL-leading touchdown total to 21. source
This might be expected, because 3 TD passing games are nothing for Tom Brady.
The six three-TD games in a season are already a career high for Brady, who had five in 2002, and has 25 in his career. He had at least three TDs only twice last season.
New England dominated the time of possession with 38 minutes to 21 minutes. A difference this large usually means victory for the team that had the ball the most and that was true in this game.
The TO vs. Randy Moss battle never really developed, although both of them had a touchdown.
The real story was the 11 catches for 124 yards and 2 touchdowns by Wes Welker of the Patriots and the 69 yard grab in the 4th quarter by Donte Stallworth that allowed the Patriots some breathing room. Stallworth ended up with 7 grabs for 136 yards.
Dallas played well, but they ran into a juggernaut.
In a few weeks we will see New England square off with the Colts and Peyton Manning. Both teams may well be still undefeated. Now that will be a game to behold!
Right now, it is evident, New England rules!

Amazing that we could be watching another match-up of unbeaten teams in a few weeks.
The Patriots are something special. They just rose to some ethereal level during the fourth quarter. The Cowboys must be shaking their heads because they are a very good team.

The Cowboys let Romo be a darn good qb. On another team he woud be only average.
NE is special. They were my pick since July. Well, probably just about everybody else’s to.

This week, 8-5… still running over .700… so not too shabby. You are on record with your pick of the Pats… I never pick this far out for the Super Bowl, but they sure look special now. That Colts match-up will help us decide.

Folks forget Dungy is the one who helped design the cover 2 and Tampa’s evil D. This is actually the matchup of two defensive minded coaches with great offenses. I can’t wait.
