Tom Brady and Randy Moss - like you thought it would work
NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
Tom is thinking, Where is Randy, Where is Randy?
No way, you screamed.
How can that work. Randy Moss will destroy the Patriots.
Even the Squibster was concerned. Not concerned enough to avoid picking the Patriots as my early season pick to win it all, but concerned.
Tom is known for being a very hard worker and trying to fit in everywhere he goes. He is one of the last to leave the weight room and wants to be just one of the guys in the locker room.
Randy, well, Randy is Randy and often thinks only of his selfish ability to catch any ball thrown over the line of scrimmage in his direction. If it is not headed his way, Moss often is not participating at all.
This year is different. Randy Moss is the Randy Moss that can dominate for years to come. (Squibster full disclosure - Randy Moss is leading my Fantasy Football Team Naruto!)
In the Monday night game, Tom Brady and Randy Moss proved to be too much for Carson Palmer and Chad Johnson.
New England Patriots 34 Cincinnati Bengals 13.
Brady threw for 3 touchdowns as the Patriots start the season out with 4 straight 20+ point victories, thus tying the Buffalo Americans from the 1920’s. You remember the Americans, don’t you? Of course, not. That shows how incredible these power victories are in this day and age.
NFL Football Mike Vrabel factoid - Mike Vrabel, a linebacker, gets to line up and catch passes for the Patriots sometimes. Get this; Mike has 7 receptions for 7 touchdowns.
Bengals
The Bengals played so poorly that their coach could not believe it.
Cincinnati’s performance was so maddening that coach Marvin Lewis screamed at his players in the locker room for several minutes.
“If you don’t want to be on this team, please don’t show up!” Lewis said, yelling so loud that reporters outside could hear. “You don’t call the offense, you don’t call the plays. You just play.
“Nowhere in the NFL do guys act like this. We’ve got to figure this out.”
There was plenty to get him screaming mad. source
Moss racks up the stats
Randy has at least 100 yards and 1 TD in 4 straight games with the Patriots.
Randy has averaged a touchdown per Monday night game. 12 Monday night games, 12 TDs.
First player ever to have over 100 yards receiving in his first 4 games on his new team.
Tonight’s game - 9 receptions for 102 yards and 2 TDs.
Tom Brady, the legend grows
In his first 98 games, Tom Brady has 74 victories. That sandwiches Tom between Roger Stauback with 76 and Kenny the Snake Stabler with 72. If Tom wins the next two, he will be tied with Roger for most victories in your first 100 games.
Tom Brady has brought Randy Moss back to superstardom!
NFL Football Fan Question Will the new Randy Moss continue or is it too much to hope for?

I knew as soon as that trade happened, people were going to be up in arms about how Randy acts. That happened by the end of that night. Maybe I was one of the few who didn’t care and said “Patriots are getting another SB ring, every other team needs to just think about until after Randy and Tom retire”.
I think I might be right as of right now.
