NFL Football Revealed on Squib Kick

Tom Brady is 003 rings and Bill Belichick is Goldfinger, at stadiums today

by James on September 18th, 2007

NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.

Bill says to Tom, “Thinking of installing cameras for the weekly poker game”

Bill Belichick and Tom BradyBill cheats. The commissioner says so.

Bill wins. His record says so.

Does he win because he cheats? No, but he wins and cheats.

My friend Mike Keating, at Detroit Lions at Content Quake, reminds me that Bill took the Patriots to 3 Super Bowl victories by 3 points each.

[3 rings, ala 003, get it? James Bond 007, you know. Goldfinger as in bad guy (but wearing super bowl rings). No, that does not mean James Bond coached a team to 7 Super Bowl victories. Ok, so it was a bad metaphor.]

Did Bill Belichick's cheating make a Super Bowl difference?

So, the Patriots have to give up a first round pick and some money. Big deal. The pick would be late first round and don’t they have another first round pick anyway.

Why are they stealing signs anyway? They just put a beatdown on the Chargers.

Brady got major help from several players acquired during the offseason to try to get the Patriots back to the Super Bowl. New England has missed out for two straight years after winning three championships in four seasons. Randy Moss had two touchdown catches and his second straight 100-yard receiving game, and Adalius Thomas returned an interception 65 yards for a touchdown. source

Evidently, Randy Moss has decided to go to the Pro Bowl again.

Moss, who had nine catches for 183 yards and a touchdown in an identical 38-14 win over the Jets last week, had eight more for 105 yards and 23 and 24-yard TD catches. Wes Welker had 8 catches for 91 yards, including a 34-yarder on the first drive of the game that set up Brady’s 7-yard TD pass to Benjamin Watson and got the Patriots (2-0) off to a quick start.

“He’s Randy Moss,” said Shawne Merriman, one of San Diego’s few standouts with two sacks. “He’s Randy Moss. He still has the same athleticism he’s always had when he came into the league. It makes them very hard to match up with.” source

The Patriots are all twisted up. They have been a dominant team, but now there are doubters out there, including some that doubt everything the Patriots have accomplished. New England had to fire back and fire up.

Everything was put into question in the past week. Their manhood, integrity and ability. You name it. Even the Super Bowl victories.

That’s why it meant so much for New England not only to get past San Diego, but put a hurting on a team that many have picked to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.

Belichick wouldn’t admit the significance of Sunday’s 38-14 victory, but the crowd of 68,756 did so prior to the game when they gave him a standing ovation — and the team’s emotional leader echoed the sentiment.

“This is the most satisfying win I’ve ever had,” said New England linebacker Tedy Bruschi, who is in his 12th season. “`People were doubting us and what we did in the past.

Of Course

Bill has to provide any tapes and other stuff related to what he got busted on.

Coach Bill Belichick said Monday he will comply with the NFL’s request to provide any notes or tapes made from video recordings similar to those that drew a stiff penalty against him and the team.

“Of course,” he said. source

The minute the commish finds that Goldfinger .. er Bill Belichick was spying on the Lions; there will be a ban for life for being so ridiculous.

Man, what a way to tarnish 3 rings, but don’t tell that to the Chargers!

NFL Football Fan Question What would you do to Bill?
