Rex Ryan, known by GM’s everywhere
It is hard to get information as a fan on the coaches in the NFL.
So, today we will look at what some of these coaches are good at doing or being.
The most asked question is usually who is qualified to be the next head NFL coach? This is the list according to Clifton Brown of the Sporting News.
1. Rex Ryan, Ravens defensive coordinator. He interviewed for the Chargers job during the offseason. San Diego may have picked the wrong guy.
2. Mike Martz, Lions offensive coordinator. He has been to a Super Bowl as a head coach and will get another job. It’s just a question of when and where.
3. Mike Singletary, 49ers assistant head coach/linebackers. He would bring defensive knowledge and command respect from players.
4. Leslie Frazier, Vikings defensive coordinator. Mike Tomlin’s successor is a Tony Dungy disciple and played for Buddy Ryan.
5. Norm Chow, Titans offensive coordinator. He is a shrewd play-caller whose stock will rise as Vince Young continues to improve. source
How about the top Defensive Coordinator? If you are playing Fantasy Football and are lucky enough to have the Steelers, then you may know who this is.
Dick LeBeau, Steelers. He has the Steelers blitzing more often and with more variety.
Dick played for Woody Hayes at Ohio State before Woody punched anyone or least before he got caught.
Dick went on to play for my Lions as a Cornerback for 14 years.
He was a leading interceptor, with 62 career interceptions for 762 return yards and 3 touchdowns, and holds the NFL record for consecutive game appearances for a cornerback with 171. He also recovered 9 fumbles, returning them for 53 yards and a touchdown. source
The Top Offensive Coordinator? Easy pick, Tom Moore for the Colts. Hard to go wrong with the weapons and O-line of the Colts.
The two areas that seem to be a weakness for most coaches are Best on Game Day - Bill Belichick and Best halftime adjustments - Tony Dungy.
How about on the hot seat? Got to be Scott Linehan at St. Louis.
Have you seen the Rams play this season? That should tell you why he’s in trouble.
Especially after they forked out so much dough for Bulger and the weapons he has at his disposal. The injury to Stephen Jackson hurts, but this team needs more than Jackson, they need a defense.
Hey, Maybe Rex Ryan will be living in St. Louis soon!
NFL Football Fan Question Kind of a change of pace today. Who is your favorite coach?
