Torry burning my Lions
Sometimes your intrepid author could play dumb and look smart. Huh?
Yeah, if yours truly told you that he knew Torry would rip up the NFL this year and score touchdowns at a mad pace, you would nod your head and say “that Squibster sure knows his football”.
Now if that statement had been followed up by my saying “That is why… Torry is on my Fantasy Football team!” you would have said “that Squibster really really knows his football”.
Of course, being human, you would have followed it up with, “Yep, it was pretty obvious, Torry would have a great season.” Maybe we are better at playing smart and being dumb, who knows. The real story is how great Torry is this year and every year.
My obvious lack of skill with quote marks not withstanding; we knew he was good, but not this good. Come on, admit it. Steve Smith was going to rip up the league. Randy Moss was going to raise up Oakland. Terrell Owens was going to take Dallas to the Super Bowl. But Torry? Well, he would probably catch some balls, you know, Bulger being a good qb and all.

Last week Torry was magnificent with 8 receptions for 154 yards and 3 tds in a losing effort against the Seahawks. Three touchdowns in one game for a receiver is fantastic. Torry is on a pace to exceed his previous high of 12 touchdowns in one year.
